Norway, country of northern Europe that occupies the western half of the Scandinavian peninsula.

Ireland left the United Kingdom on December 6th, 1922, after it officially became the Irish Free State. At that point, Ireland became a self-governing dominion that was no longer a part of the UK.

Switzerland, federated country of central Europe. Switzerland’s administrative capital is Bern, while Lausanne serves as its judicial centre.

Spain, country located in extreme southwestern Europe. It occupies about 85 percent of the Iberian Peninsula, which it shares with its smaller neighbour Portugal.

Paris, city and capital of France, situated in the north-central part of the country. People were living on the site of the present-day city.

Rome, historic city and capital of Roma provincia (province), of Lazio regione (region), and of the country of Italy.

Genoa, city and Mediterranean seaport in northwestern Italy. It is the capital of Genova provincia and of Liguria regione and is the centre of the Italian Riviera. 

Jordan, Arab country of Southwest Asia, in the rocky desert of the northern Arabian Peninsula.
